Recently, Minister of Energy and Transport, Hon. JoBeth Coleby-Davis participated as a panelist in the 2025 Southeastern Energy Conference of Georgia Institute of Technology,
commonly referred to as Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ranked among the top 5 Best Engineering Universities in the United States of America, Georgia Tech extended a special invitation to Minister Coleby-Davis based on the significant energy reforms underway in The Bahamas.
Minister Coleby-Davis spoke to sustainable energy projects in progress and in the pipeline for our country; and she also used the opportunity to seek out scholarship opportunities for young Bahamians to study at Georgia Tech.
Minister Coleby-Davis engaged in meaningful dialogue with Senior Research Scholar at
Columbia University's Center on Global Energy Policy, Jonathan Elkind and Managing Director at Cox Cleantech Accelerator and Distinguished External Fellow at Georgia Tech Strategic Energy Institute, Miguel Granier on the upcoming revision and update to our
