Roadworks - Nassau Street

The Ministry of Public Works/Bahamix, has scheduled ROAD PREPARATION and paving works for Nassau Street.

The road work is taking place today, Thursday, July 16^th, 2020, beginning 9:30am and continuing through the off peak hours today, from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Work will resume on Saturday, July 18^th, 2020, and continue on Sunday, July 19^th, 2020, between the hours of 7:00am to 7:30pm.

Roadworks will incorporate the section of the roadway between South Street and West Bay Street. Bahamix will impose a single lane closure between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on July 16, 2020, and allow traffic to flow freely through the work site. During off peak hours and weekend works times, there will be a full road closure implemented for the duration of the works.

All North bound traffic will be diverted onto South Street and then directed on to Meeting Street, then on to Baillou Hill Road, which will allow motorists to connect to West Bay Street.

All South bound traffic will be detoured via West Bay Street to Market Street and then on to Poinciana Drive.

All connecting roads between West Bay Street and South Street along Nassau Street will be closed. Provisions for access will be made only for residence where necessary.
