Bahamasair celebrates 40 years of service into Orlando
ORLANDO, Florida - On Thursday, April 10, 2025, the national flag carrier, Bahamasair, commemorated 40 years of service into Orlando, Florida, with a special ceremony at Orlando’s International Airport, Terminal B.
“Today is more than just a celebration of four decades of sustained service. It reflects a deep commitment to a respected partnership that supports air connectivity to drive air stopover arrivals, while exposing travelers to memorable experiences between the Islands of The Bahamas and Orlando,” said Bahamas Director of Aviation and Deputy Director General of Tourism, Dr. Kenneth Romer.
On hand to participate in the milestone event were Acting Permanent Secretary in The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation - Lisa Adderley-Anderson; Director of Aviation and Deputy Director General of Tourism - Dr. Kenneth Romer; Chair of Bahamasair - Tanya Pratt; Managing Director of Bahamasair - Tracy Cooper; officials of Orlando International Airport; staff of Bahamasair and the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism; media, and well-wishers.
Bahamasair currently operates direct scheduled services between Orlando into Nassau/Paradise Island, and into Freeport, Grand Bahama, while eyeing expansion into targeted Family Islands.
