NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Disability Affairs Division of the Department of Social Services in conjunction with Pinewood Urban Renewal Advisory Board hosted a Disability Forum on Monday evening, September 30th, 2024 at 6:00pm at All Saints Parish Hall.  Members of the community of persons with disabilities were in attendance for general discussion, to the theme, "Don't Miss This Exciting Time."   Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting, the Hon. Minister Myles Laroda gave opening remarks.

In attendance were delegates and officials representing community of persons with disabilities: Jermain Brown, President of the Bahamas Alliance for the Blind and Visually Impaired; Kendrick Rolle, Vice-Chairman of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD); Arnette Lunn, Department of Social Services Deaf Sign Language Interpreter; and Townsley Roberts, Deputy Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) Secretariat.    (BIS Photos/Mark Ford)
