Election Day for the Local Government Junior Council is fast approaching!

A total of 42 schools will participate this year, including 8 schools in Grand Bahama, and 1 school in New Providence, Anatol Rodgers.

We are thrilled to announce that 6,540 students have registered to participate in this year's Local Government Junior Council elections!

With 476 talented candidates vying for positions in 87 contested elections we are looking forward to another exciting year in Local Government Junior Council!

These young leaders are passionately campaigning, sharing their visions, and proving that our future is in great hands. Each candidate brings unique ideas and solutions that reflect the voices of their peers.

The Local Government Junior Council serves as a succession plan for Local Government and a civic platform for young individuals to voice their concerns and ideas, empowering them to take an active role in the affairs of their schools and communities. By voting and electing their Junior Council representatives, these students will have a direct impact on initiatives that affect their schools and communities.

Join us in celebrating democracy, youth engagement, and the vibrant voices of our future leaders!
