ASSAU, The Bahamas -- Nassau Christian Academy student Tyrese Bunch won Leader of the Year, as well as the Outstanding Male and Leaders Choice Awards, at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture 's Division of Youth High School Leaders Closeout Ceremony, held on February 19, 2025, at the University of The Bahamas.   More than 40 students from nearly two dozen schools completed the programme.  Among those present were Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Mario Bowleg; Undersecretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources Montez Williams; Division of Youth officers and staff; school representatives; family members and stakeholders.   Kasilyn Lloyd of the Home School Association received the Outstanding Female and Leaders Choice Award; Javan Claridge, also of the Home School Association, received the Transformation Award; and K'yeisha Andrews of St. John's College received the Initiative Award.   Hadassah Simeon of C.I. Gibson also won the Presence Award; and D'Veia Ferguson of Nassau Christian Academy won the Best Portfolio Award.
