National Breastfeeding Association gives gifts and encouragement to new moms at PMH

NASSAU, The Bahamas – The National Breastfeeding Association during National Breastfeeding Week of the association and the Ministry of Health and Wellness, visited the Maternity Ward at Princess Margaret Hospital on October 4, 2024 where they gave gifts to all of the mothers of the ward, answered questions and encouraged them to breastfeed their children.  Present were the association's president, Trineka McCardy, and its vice-president, Ampusam Symonette.  National Breastfeeding Week, the first week of October, featured Church Service at Berea SDA Church; Talk Shows; Mall at Marathon Exhibition and Membership Drive; A Working Women's ZOOM seminar; Baby Friendly Fair and Fashion Show, and Baby Olympics at the Ministry of Health office grounds, Meeting Street.   (BIS Photos/Patrice Johnson)
