NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Ministry of Labour and the Public Service held its National Public Service Week 'Awards Luncheon & National Public Service Officer of the Year 2023/2024' extravaganza, November 5, 2023 at the Grand Hyatt, Baha Mar, to the theme 'One Nation, One People, Our Public Service.'  

The 'Public Service Officer of the Year' title was won by Christopher Farrington, an employee of the Ministry of Labour and the Public Service whose current role in the Department of Labour's Public Employment Services Unit is as Public Employment Services Officer.  First Runner-Up was Rhonda Smith-Griffin, and Second Runner-Up Sophia Rahming.  

The awards luncheon topped an eventful commemorative week that was launched by a Church Service at Living Waters Kingdom Ministries, Oakesfield, and included a Retirees Recognition Ceremony and Presentation of Awards of Excellence at Government House.    (BIS Photos/Kemuel Stubbs)
