Price Inspectorate staff of the Consumer Affairs Unit conducted special inspections, April 1, 2025 to ensure compliance with the new 5% VAT rate on foods sold in grocery stores, convenience stores and service stations.

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Price Inspectorate staff of the Consumer Affairs Unit conducted special inspections, April 1, 2025 to ensure compliance with the new 5% VAT rate on foods sold in grocery stores, convenience stores and service stations (except deli-prepared foods, candy, and sugary drinks).
