During medical school, Kache’ fully realized her leadership potential extended beyond advocacy. As a student representative for the Trinidad and Tobago Medical Students Association and a student representative on the Medical Services Student Council, she represented over 400 students across various disciplines. One of her proudest achievements was organizing a three-day mental health event for the entire campus at the University of the West Indies (UWI). She also became the first Bahamian to serve as a delegate at The International Federation of Medical Students Associations, at both the 10th Youth Pre-World Health Assembly and the 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. Upon returning home to complete her clinical rotations at UWI’s School of Medicine and Research, Kache assumed the role of President of the Bahamas Women’s Health Initiative, spearheading monthly lectures with leading physicians on breast cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and non-communicable disease prevention. As a voice for medical students, Kache’s ability to lead, advocate and empower students’ involvement in medical education and to enhance the health and well-being of individual communities is what makes her a pioneer in education and leadership.

Aidan’s leadership in his church’s youth mentorship program, along with other youth volunteer events like ‘GlobalServe Days’, has allowed the church to assist thousands of people annually through food, clothing and financial support. While making a large impact in his religious community, he takes no issue with taking on smaller tasks. Aidan zealously participates in Young Adult Church as a Junior Deacon and reader, visiting elderly and shut-in members and aids in the creative planning of family ministry events. Aidan’s consistency not only proves that young people have a hand in the development of religious communities, but exemplifies the kind of outreach that is needed to inspire Christian leadership.
