It is a requirement of The Government of The Bahamas that all Bahamian registered vessels be inspected annually.

Eligibility

All Bahamian registered vessels.

Process

1. The Port Department prepares an inspection schedule of all registered vessels
2. The Port reserves the right to conduct this inspection at any time without notice
3. Once the inspection is completed a copy of the report is given to the captain.
4. The report may indicate areas for improvement.
5. The captain is obligated to address the issues highlighted within the stipulated timeframe.
