Biography
The Hon. Pia Glover-Rolle believes that in order to have an equitable society, women must be at the table and apart of the conversation of nation building.
Minister Rolle is a Justice of the Peace, a successful entrepreneur and a philanthropist with a 20-year history in hospitality, tourism, government, and the entertainment industry.
With a heart for service, a passion for nation building and the upliftment of young people, she is an advocate for youth empowerment through sports, arts and entertainment.
Minister Glover-Rolle is also a proponent for the preservation of Bahamian culture through education, mentorship and adherence to quality standards.
She was born on April 18, 1977. She is married and the mother of three daughters.
Minister Glover-Rolle was elected as the Member of Parliament for Golden Gates on September 16, 2021 and sworn in as the Minister of State for Public Service September 22, 2021.
Her portfolio includes: pensions and gratuities, office accommodations, relations with public sector unions, training and development, public sector reform and relations with the national insurance board.
On the 11th September, 2023, Minister Glover-Rolle was promoted to the Minister of Labour and Public Service by the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, The Hon. Philip Davis KC, MP; during a reshuffle of cabinet.
Minister Glover-Rolle was appointed Deputy Leader of Government Business In The House of Assembly on the 4th October, 2023; by The Prime Minister, The Hon. Philip Davis KC, MP; after the death of their colleague The Late Obie Wilchcombe.
