GRAND BAHAMA, The Bahamas --  As Diplomat Week 2024 ended in Grand Bahama, tours were held in East and West Grand Bahama on Friday, so the officials got a firsthand look at the outlying settlements of the island.

For the delegates touring West Grand Bahama, the group was accompanied by the District Administrator of West Grand Bahama, Leonard Dames Jr. They visited the Obadiah H. Wilchcombe Complex, where they engaged with the Social Services Unit. The group then made a stop at Holmes Rock Junior High. The tour concluded at Old Bahama Bay, where they were warmly greeted by General Manager James Culmer and the staff, and enjoyed a selection of Bahamian delicacies while experiencing the island's renowned hospitality.

Diplomat Week was held in Freeport at Lighthouse Pointe, Grand Lucayan resort in Freeport from Sunday, November 3 through Friday, November 8, under the theme, “Climate, Trade and Diplomacy” and brought together Bahamian ambassadors, diplomats from the region, and from around the world.
