NASSAU, The Bahamas --  The Ministry of National Security held a HYPE (Helping Young People Excel) Instructors' Empowerment Workshop, April 10, 2025 featuring sessions on gang culture, discipline in conflict prevention, positive role modeling, the role of parenting in youth development, substance abuse prevention, classroom and behaviour management, and building emotional resilience.  The HYPE programme is a joint initiative of ministries of National Security, Education, Health and Wellness and Social Services to steer youth away from crime, and guide them towards productive adulthood -- taking effective steps of prevention and early intervention.  The one-day training workshop was held at the Paul Farquharson Conference Centre, Police Headquarters.
