LONG CAY, The Bahamas -- Governor General, HE the Most Hon. Dame Cynthia Pratt visited Long Cay on her Official Visit to the Southern Bahamas: There, she planted a Yellow Elder, National Flower of The Bahamas on Thursday February 6, 2025. Long Cay has a miniscule population with many persons having left the island following the passage of Hurricane Joaquin in 2015. Joaquin left many buildings damaged; and ruins remain today as a reminder of that storm.
