Public Comments on Draft Bahamas National Standards

The Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality (BBSQ) is mandated to develop, adopt and promulgate standards for such goods and services as may be required in the national interest.

The following Draft Bahamas National Standards are being issued for public comments, in accordance with the provisions set out in the Standards Act, Chapter 338 (2006), and in keeping with international best practices and the standards development procedures: 

•  DBNS ISO 14064-1:2018 Greenhouse gases — Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals
• DBNS ISO 14064-2:2019 Greenhouse gases — Part 2: Specification with guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reductions or removal enhancements
• DBNS SLCP 13-1:2012 Code of Practice for Beauty and Wellness Part 1 - General requirements
• DBNS SLCP 13-2:2014 Code of Hygienic Practice for Beauty and Wellness Part 2 - Particular Requirements for Spas
• DBNS SLCP 13-3:2016 Code of Hygienic Practice for Beauty and Wellness Part 3 - Particular Requirements for Tattoo Establishments
• DBNS SLCP 13-4:2017 Code of Hygienic Practice for Beauty and Wellness Part 4 - Particular Requirements for Hairdressing & Barbershop Requirements
